sound-collage for heart-tone, violin, piano plus x
identity suggests harmony. ultrasonic sound explores the body. speech becomes character. characters read as notes. a bunch of human expression turned into sound.

dafne & shanti – coming, going
What does it mean to embark on a journey? and at what point does leaving become arriving? or can these phenomena occur simultaneously?
Coming and Going are two sound pieces which can be listened to separately – or together.

mary beth volker – bhakti
Bhakti is a mixture of four versions of a devotional song recorded in a studio, at Teufelsberg, in a treppenhaus and on a bikeride. Exploring a musical identity that was born in a church choir and now lives on stage, in songwriting, in the recording studio. Each take was sung loud enough for god to hear it.

sara
a mixtape, a relic of a moment,
sounds both musical and non,
of places i’ve been taken,
of paths which i have gone.
pieces of a greater narrative,
remembered reconstructed and retold,
an other view from new of new; of old.
embellishments embellishing,
provide meaning and relief,
for the pinch
which confirms
i exist.

You go miles away; you stop following, you stop listening; you don’t even speak; basically you forget; you become one of them … and a crack, only a crack in the wall makes you remember again. When the world becomes smaller than your room …
